Krisada "Kris" Wasoontarajaroen

I'm an Interactive Media Design graduate from Algonquin College in Ottawa. I focus on web development and UI/UX design, and I enjoy turning ideas into polished, functional digital products. Outside of project work, I'm open to select freelance web projects and explore photography, gaming, and creative tools.

I enjoy creating work that feels thoughtful, engaging, and visually clear. Outside of design and development, I enjoy photography, gaming, anime, longboarding, and travelling, and I'm often inspired by everyday moments, new places, and the small details people usually overlook.

My Story

Background & Experience

I moved to Canada from Thailand and completed Interactive Media Design at Algonquin College. Before that, I spent years working in customer-facing roles, which taught me how to communicate clearly, manage my time, and stay organized under pressure. Those skills carried over into design and development, where I now apply the same discipline to every project I take on.

Design Philosophy

I believe good design is invisible. It should feel natural and get out of the user's way. I focus on clarity, consistency, and the small details that make the difference between something that works and something that feels right. My process always starts with understanding the problem, then building toward the simplest solution that serves the user.

Motivation & Goals

I'm motivated by the challenge of solving real problems through design and code. Whether it's a client site, a personal tool, or a UX prototype, I want every project to be my best work yet. My goal is to keep improving and eventually work in a role where I can combine design thinking with development skills to build products that people actually enjoy using.

Interests

Photography

I enjoy capturing moments at events, around the city, and while travelling. I've volunteered as a photographer for the Ottawa Design Club.

Gaming

I play and follow game communities, which led me to build the Game Server Configuration Generator as a side project.

Exploring

Longboarding, travelling, watching anime, and trying new food. I like staying curious and experiencing things outside my usual routine.
